Mission

The Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert Library at Notre Dame 91¸£Àû×ÊÔ´Õ¾ provides access to knowledge and information resources for students, faculty, and staff to facilitate multimodal instruction, knowledge development, scholarly communication, creativity, and cultural transmission.

Collection Development
Collection development is the continuous and systematic process by which libraries select, accept, deselect, and evaluate information resources. Probably not. The library at NDNU does not collect textbooks, but we do have a few copies of commonly-used handbooks and study guides for on-campus use in the Academic Success Center in CC2. Lower-cost, ethical sources for textbooks include and . 

If ²â´Ç³Ü’r±ð a BA Psychology or BS Business Administration degree-completion student, your  textbook costs are covered by NDNU. For Psychology students, your Program Director, Hannah Yanow (hyanow@ndnu.edu), will include information in your courses on Canvas and the BA Psychology newsletter. For Business Administration students, your Program Director, Claudia Roehl (csonzroehl@ndnu.edu), will ensure your Cengage subscription is accessible directly in your courses on Canvas. 

Error screens are frustrating! Email library@ndnu.edu with a screenshot of the message ²â´Ç³Ü’r±ð receiving, and ·É±ð’l±ô get you squared away. In the meantime, you can also check out on accessing library resources online. 

Nice find! Email library@ndnu.edu with as much citation information as you can find (aim for author name, title, publication date, and publisher). Our librarian Rachel can request the article from another library, or recommend similar sources; just email library@ndnu.edu.  

Books are wonderful! Because our library is online-only, we are not set up to borrow physical books from other libraries. You can use to find books in public libraries near you (just ; i³Ù’s very easy!). The Student Lounge in Campus Center has comfy seating, a printer, and a free coffee station. You'll find the friendly folks of the Academic Success Center right next door in CC2, where you can check out noise-cancelling headphones and laptops.
